Position summary

Serve as core faculty member for the Educational Psychology degree and provide guidance on curriculum and programmatic decisions.  Responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in the field of educational psychology, research and statistics, academic advisement support to students in the program, responding to inquiries regarding the overall academic unit, participate in committees, maintaining an active research agenda as documented through publications and presentations, participating (as member/methodologist/chair) on dissertation committees, and other duties as assigned to the position.

Duties and responsibilities

Serving on Educational Psychology core faculty committee.
Participate in developing and implementing University policies, guiding principles, objectives and functions in accordance with the philosophy of the University
Possess time management skills that allow for many demands and time constraints.  These include meeting with students, attending meetings, course demands, and research requirements
As professor, must have the ability to teach courses at various times, including evenings. Some travel to extension campus may be required. Ability to teach a) human development, b) psychology of learning, c) cognitive and biological psychology and d) psychological testing.
Stay informed of current trends and new approaches to instruction, and new developments in the educational psychology field via professional development activities.  Maintain professional development/growth according to personal needs and certification requirements
Maintain an active research agenda demonstrated through presentations at national conferences, and publications.  Participate in student dissertation committees, serving as either chair or member. 
Teach both quantitative & qualitative research methods for graduate interdisciplinary groups.
Teach univariate and multivariate statistics techniques
Assist in developing of curricula and delivering course material.
Organize and advise research projects with students and colleagues.

Supervisory responsibilities

Directly supervises 1-2 graduate assistants. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
