Position summary
This dynamic working environment requires the assistant to be able to mulit-task between clerical activities and reception duties relating to a hospitality desk that supports several adminstrative areas. Successful applicants will demonstrate ease in communicating and relating to people in person, by phone, and email.
Qualifications summary
General office experience desired. Excellent phone and computer skills. Sales qualities, ie., pleasant, welcoming friendly, helpful. Reliable to keep assigned work schedule. Must be currently enrolled as a graduate student.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist and provide information to visitors.
- General reception duties. Greets and answers phone, provides a friendly voice to assist prospective students and academic programs with questions, concerns and requests.
- Email management, scheduling appointments, and mailing documents when necessary.
- Clerical projects as needed.

Qualifications
- Enrolled as a graduate student
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or other languages is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service oriented: friendly, personable, great phone and people skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to use or willingness to learn new applications
- Independent worker able to take inititiatve
