Position summary
- Business manager will oversee all aspects of the accounting for Center for Youth evangelism and all its ministries.
- He/she will process monthly financial statements.
- Process cash receipts, expense reports and cash dispursements.

Qualifications summary
- Five years accounting experience required
- CPA/MBA preferred
- PC/MAC software experience
- Knowledge of Quickbooks
- Knowledge of Lucas software
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
Primary Duties Include:
- Recommend Financial policies and procedures for the handling all cash incoming and outgoing for the Center.
- Prepare monthly financial reports as requested by management.
- Work with the Finance Department of the University to insure accounting is accurate and complete in accordance with their policies and procedures.
- Create accounts as needed to track an analyze all programs for the Center.
- Assure the timely processing and follow up of cash receipts, cash disbursements and expense reports for the Center.
- Recommend changes in the handling of cash funds to assure a maximum rate of return commensurate with the use of the funds and within the investment policies of the university.
- Coordinate the investment of funds with personnel at AG Edwards, the treasurer of Andrews University, and other entities where funds may be invested.
- Assist managers within the Center in any financial negotiation as requested or needed.
- Work with potential donors to the Center for the appropriate documentation of the donation and its investment and use of principal and interest from those donations.
- Represent the Center in other financial issues, which may arise, from its operations and activities on and off campus
- Serves on the CYE administrative committee. This committee periodically reviews all the personnel and ministries supported by the Center for Youth Evangelism to the board on significant changes to operations.
- Establishes CYE accounting policies in liaison with Andrews University accounting Dept. Is responsible in selecting accounting software to be used and the chart of accounts to be used in the CYE accounting system
- Establishes banking relationships for the Center for Youth Evangelism for the safe keeping of cash and timely payments. Periodically meets with bank manager to review that relationship
- Working in conjunction with the University, selects auditors to audit the financial records of the Center on an annual basis.
- Works with other members of management and ministry leaders in establishing and reviewing annual financial budgets for each ministry and for the Center as a whole. Presents the consolidated budget to the board annually for their review and approval.
- Prepares monthly financial statements for review with CYE management at the fall CYE board meeting.
- Presents and interim and audited financial statements to the board for there information and comment.
- Prepares other financial reports for the Center as requested by other members of the administrative committee.
- Manages all billing and collections, routine accounting activities, payment of accounts payable, accounting for fixed assets and all contract payments and etc.
- Serves as the Centers Office manager.
- Manages the registration process for all CYE events that requires payment
- Sets up and manages all volunteer staff registration process.
- Serve the CYE executive director by turning in his/her business receipts and to confirm that AU makes full payment within 7 business days or less.
- Serves as the liaison between CYE and the lake Union conference accounting dept.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- A Seventh-day Adventist Christian in good standing with an active faith relationship and walk with Jesus
- Five years accounting management experience required for supervising at least one employee
- CPA/or MBA preferred
- Knowledge in investing funds knowing when cash management, fixed-income or equity investments are appropriate
- Must be able to travel periodically for job duties when needed
- Has love, knowledge and values youth ministry
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and follow through and striving for excellence in all areas of ministries.
- Excellent communicator, communicating cross-generationally and cross-culturally.
- Self-starter, self-disciplined, having the ability to multi task and meet deadlines
- Ability to work with and manage strong personalities
- Able to lift 50 lbs. +
