Position summary
We are seeking individuals to join our team to supervise and cultivate a safe and loving environment that is conducive to growth and learning. Varying shifts and flexibility with tons of fun with the best kids in Berrien Springs!
Must be able to work December 12 - December 23 and January 2 - January 6. Must be a student of Andrews University.
Qualifications summary
- Must be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma.

Duties and responsibilities
• Provide basic needs for children
• Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
• Use various leaning methods such as stories, games and drawing to intellectually stimulate children.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
• Work with young children to teach basic skills such as colors, letter and number recognition, shapes, social skills and personal hygiene
• Manage activities, imaginative play, bathroom breaks, meals and rest time
• Introduce children to new age-appropriate hobbies
• Clean and sanitize all toys and play areas
• Monitor and gently correct children’s behavior and adapt to the various needs of children and parents
• Have patience and compassion suitable for working with young children
• Have the spirit of flexibility and a Christ-like attitude in all that they say and do
Supervisory responsibilities
May supervise student workers, as determined by the Director
Qualifications
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have current Michigan child care fingerprint/background check or will get fingerprint/background check.
• Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification or will to get CPR/First Aid.
• Must be a student of Andrews University

Physical demands
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting,
carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and
significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 25% walking, and 70% standing. The job is performed under
some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
Work environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
