BOOKSTORE - Textbook Manager

Position summary

Order, check in, shelve & receive textbooks

Picking, processing & shipping web orders.

Must have great communication skills, able to work with faculty and teachers in regards to their textbooks.

First Day Complete will be a huge part of this job.

Able to pick, process & ship web orders.


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Duties and responsibilities

Order, check in, shelve & receive textbooks

Picking, processing & shipping web orders.

Communicate with teachers and faculty in regards to their textbooks.

Stay organized.

Shipping.

First Day Complete (a system that is used for the students to obtain their textbooks).

Supervisory responsibilities

Able to cashier if needed

Be responsible for end of day money if needed.

Able to supervise students where needed.

Opening and closing the bookstore.

 

Qualifications

Must have computer skills, able to learn systems.

Requires some math, and reasoning skills & fluent in English.

Commuinication skills are very important when communicating with publishers and vendors.

Have some book knowledge

Need to be willing to work in a fast past environment.

Able to work well with others.


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Technical competencies

Able to learn our systems, TA2, Helix & Mirkel.

Word & excel experiance needed.

Firt Day Complete (FDC)P

Interpersonal interactions

Must be able to interact with students and faculty.

Comfortable and able to work with our diversity on campus.

Physical demands

Must be able to lift heavy boxes.

Able to load and unload pallets of textbooks

Be able to stand for long lengths of time

Must be able to bend repeatedly while unpacking and shelving books

Work environment

Warehouse environment, shipping and receiving.

Sales floor, working with customers

Office work, ordering, communicating with campus and publishers.
