Position summary
Enrollment counselor to work in recruitment, enrollment, student orientations and survey data. Command of English is required and Spanish is an added benefit. This employee assists the Supervisor of Enrollment and Student Services.
Qualifications summary
This position requires strong teamwork, planning and organizational skills. To provide excellent customer service, the applicant must also have good verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, there may be times that duties performed may be sensitive and confidential in nature, thus the utmost confidentiality will be required. Must be able to demonstrate an aptitude for technology.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage digital and paper records, and communication templates
- Communicate with Griggs International Academy applicants and prospective students by e-mail and phone calls
- Process enrollment documents and payment plans
- Counsel prospective students regarding academic services and financial options
- Assist in implementing the communication plan for Griggs International Academy applicants and prospective students
- Follow up with prospective students and online inquiries
- Assist with recruiting and marketing initiatives
- Manage and assess data from school surveys
- Manage and assess date from senior exit interviews
- Translate or find a translator for non-English speaking customers
- Report student needs and concerns to administration/K12 committee
- Have the aptitude to manage surveys in class climate, Microsoft, Google, Learning Management System, Student Information System, etc.
- Must be able to work and communicate well with others in service of GIA customers
- Writing accurate and professional messages and email
- Process ID Cards and mail to students
- Send student welcome packets after enrollments is completed
- Other duties as assigned by administration
- Assist parents with financial questions and coordinate with student finances
- Assist Supervisor of Student Enrollment and Student Services in all areas as needed
- Answer “help desk” and phone call inquiries
- Make customer service a priority
Supervisory responsibilities
- This employee will assist in supervising university student employees
Qualifications
- Experience with Seventh-day Adventist education.
- Command of the English language
- Aptitude for learning computer software
- Teamwork and good communications
- College degree preferred.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Technical competencies
- Able to learn new LMS
- Ability to help students navigate courses
- Follow and update communication plan
Interpersonal interactions
Must be able to work and communicate well with others in service of GIA customers. Writing accurate and professional messages and email. Being able to speak Spanish fluently is a plus.
Physical demands
- Be able to work at a desk and focus on detail for several hours at a time.
- Ability to changes with new protocol or policy
Work environment
- Normal office environment.
- Must be at Andrews University office--not remote
