Position summary
We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Lunch Team to manage lunch in our child care center. You will be involved in all aspects lunch collection and distribution. No meal preperation is involved.
Proof of background check, finger printing, first aid, CPR and additional job related trainings are required.
Commitment to work 5 days per week Monday to Friday 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Additional hours available in the classrooms. Must be a student of Andrews University.

Duties and responsibilities
- Follow all safe food handling and general safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Transport lunches safety from the Cafeteria to The Crayon Box promptly and safely.
- Distribute lunch to all classrooms on time with accurate serving sizes.
- Responsible for classroom lunch dishes
- Distribute daily breakfast and snack components.
- Help store and put away food product
- Follow all safe food storage guidelines
- Be sensitive to allergy and specific dietary requirements
- Informs Director of any concerns, changes in meal count and situations that effect the center.
Supervisory responsibilities
May supervise student workers, as determined by the Director
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma.

- Must have a warm and friendly personality with sensitivity to the feelings and needs of both children and adults.
- Display a willingness to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the center's philosophy and mission.

Physical demands
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting,
carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and
significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 25% walking, and 70% standing. The job is performed under
some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
Work environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
