Position summary
Graduate student assistants in the Center for Digital Learning and Instructional Technology assist with the support of the School of Distance Education faculty and managed online courses. This includes adjunct faculty support, record-keeping, and data analysis. In addition, this position provides support for online higher education at Andrews University.
We seek an individual who will dedicate their skills and talents to daily operations, improving support, process, and procedures, and maintaining detailed records. There may be times that duties performed may be of sensitive and confidential nature, thus the utmost confidentiality will be expected and required.

Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain Access database and files of online faculty and courses
- Process faculty and course development contracts
- Follow up on reported problems and issues
- Provide phone support for grades and other procedure needs of adjunct faculty
- Organize events and workshops
- Maintain the School of Distance Education website
- Prepare reports and analyze data
- Manage communication with consortium partners, online reviewers, and adjunct faculty
- Prepare mailings to adjunct faculty
- Other duties as assigned

- Graduate student required
- Detailed record keeper
- Good technology skills
- Ability to work independently to resolve problems and apply knowledge

- Comfort level with Excel, willing to learn more

Physical demands
Must be able to focus on a computer screen for length of time
Work environment
The DLiT office is a semi-open space with moderate noise. Customers come and go, receiving assistance from multiple team members. Multiple meetings with customers may occur in a semi-open space at the same time.
The Center of Digital Learning and Instructional Technology is a fast-paced, collaborative work environment. We have both on-site and remote workers integrated into a close-knit community. We are always learning from each other, sharing ideas, giving feedback, and celebrating successes.
