Position summary
Responsibile for coordinating the undergraduate tutoring services. This position is full-time during the school year (9 months - approximately August 15 to May 15 annually).
Qualifications summary
- Fifth year college or univeristy program certificate
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
- Mastery of written and spoken English
- Strong communication, problemsolving, conflict resolution, and listening skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Leadership and team building skills
- Able to maintain workflow with multiple interruptions in a fast paced, culturally and academically diverse setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

Duties and responsibilities
Coordinate tutor recruiting, hiring, training, supervision, scheduling, in addition to:
- Creating tutor applications
- Developing and maintaining list of potential tutors
- Create tutor evaluation forms
- Conduct reference reviews on all potential tutors
- Complete tutor employment forms
- Coordinate tutoring schedule
- Serving as the Time Clock Manager for tutor student workers
- Verifies hours worked and posts them online
- Submits hours to Payroll
- Serves as the communication port from the Student Success Center to all tutors, academic departments, professors, and Student Employment
- Reserving classrooms for tutoring sessions
- Maintaining accurate tutoring records and files
Promotes undergraduate tutoring services to the campus community
Other tasks to support the Center and its staff (For example, serves as receptionist on occasion)
Supervisory responsibilities
Supervises student tutors.

Work environment
The group tutoring locations are located in classroomsin Nethery and Buller Hall. The Tutoring Services Coordinator may be required to walk to the classrooms to ensure that they are available and unlock doors.
