CHILDRENS LEARNING CENTER - Assistant Teacher - Summer

Position summary

Nurture, interact, support and create a safe and inclusive environment for children. Responsibilities include managing a group of children Monday-Friday, supervising all aspects of the day, leading children through a weekly schedule and participating/teaching/assisting in all activities. Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma.  The applicant will work 29 hours a week.

Physical demands

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 10% sitting, 3% walking, and 55% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.  

Ability to wear a mask at all times while at work under the current guidelines of The State of Michigan is required.

Work environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
