Position summary

The position holds a faculty appointment and has academic, service, and

scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy

of the Department of Computing and of Andrews University.  The

Department of Computing has programs in Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics, Data Science, and Cybersecurity

Qualifications summary

Doctorate preferred in Computer Science or closely related field.

Position to support and teach computing with emphases in courses for

the New BS-Cybersecurity Degree Program.

Ability to demonstrate inclusivity, civility, and respect for all.

Capable of working closely with other faculty in a team-oriented

environment.

The candidate must be dedicated to excellence in teaching, research,

and service

Participates as a member of the Department of Computing in casting a

shared vision.


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Physical demands

The physical demands are not limited to/but may include; minor lifting of packages, office activities, (such as typing, writing, organizing) as well as copy-machine supplies, class room supplies, etc...Listening, presenting, occasionally walking to and attending meetings across campus, are part of the physical demands of this position. 

Work environment

 Normal office, classroom, and committee environment.
