Position summary
IT Specialist/Media ministry is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the school's information technology infrastructure and services. This role involves providing technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks, and contributing to the overall educational and spiritual experience through technology integration.
- Audio Visual support
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels.
- Assist teachers in utilizing educational software, interactive whiteboards, projectors, and other instructional technology tools.
Qualifications summary
Bachelor’s degree in information technology (preferred but not required), Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong technical skills in computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS) and productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of IT-related activities, including troubleshooting steps, solutions, and configuration changes.
- Document standard operating procedures and guidelines for common technical issues.
Podcast/Video studio/ Audio Visual needs
Video Editing etc.
Supervisory responsibilities
Supervise students :
- During chapel worship and related areas
- During studio usage
- After school cleaning and collecting devices
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced educational environment.
- Previous experience in a school or education setting is a plus
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Technical competencies
Hardware and Software Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups for computers, software applications, and operating systems.
- Manage hardware inventory, perform repairs, and coordinate replacements when necessary.
Interpersonal interactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse groups.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced educational environment.
Physical demands
- Lifting and transporting equiptment on carts
- Assisting students and staff with computer issues may require standing
- Physical demands may vary based on the specific needs and unique challenges
