Position summary
The student will assist with the James White Library periodicals, adding the information to the library system and following all the procedures to prepare them for the shelves or binding. It involves computer work and physical strength when shelf rearrangement is needed.

Duties and responsibilities
Add periodical materials to the library system. Prepare resources to go on the shelf using the necessary procedures. Set publication patterns for periodicals utilizing the library system. Reshelve Periodicals. Rearrange periodicals on the shelves by alphabetical order. Clean shelves and rearrange them as necessary.

Qualifications
High level of attention to detail and quality of work. Organized and orderly. Possession of a strong work ethic. Ability to follow through on complex instructions related to the periodical data entry in the system. Ability to faithfully and consistently work at least 10 hours a week on an agreed-upon regular work schedule. Openings in class and activities schedule to allow working two to four-hour time blocks.

The student will need to lift heavy books, and sometimes also lift boxes of books, move shelves, and push heavy carts of books around.
