Position summary
The School of Education is seeking an individual that is pro-active and organized to apply for the Administrative Assistant’s position. This individual will be responsible for keeping our social media, websites and Bulletin current, initiating academic proposals, submit the monthly financial statements, meeting minutes, and performing basic clerical and receptionist duties. This individual needs to have experience with programs such as Word and Excel. This individual will also organize, implement, and manage student recruitment information and plans.

Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for keeping our social media, websites and distributing information
- Responsible for entering Bulletin changes (yearly)
- Responsible for initiating academic proposals
- Performing basic clerical and receptionist duties.
- Organize, implement, and manage student recruitment information and plans.
- Submit financial statements (monthly)
- Organize and support departmental events (new students’ orientation, summer institute, TLC Conference, etc.)

Qualifications
- Punctuality and dependability
- Strong organizational and people skills
- Knowledge of graduate level practices
- Two years minimum professional experience in education and/or office areas
- A good knowledge of a variety of computer applications programs including word processing and Microsoft Office applications
- An ability to make decisions and keep confidentiality
- Must communicate well and be able to problem-solve, evaluate and prioritize

Must be able to complete simple physical tasks and be able to lift no more than 50 pounds (with paper supplies etc.)
Work environment
The work environment is an office setting in a receptionist area, so some level of noise between classes.
