Lamson Hall summer maintenance students participate in the general maintenance duties.

The candidate need to show a general understanding of manual labor, intention to learn, and work etic.

 

Duties and responsibilities

Painting, carpeting,general instalation and repair

Some carpentry and mechanical instalations

Supervisory responsibilities

No supervisory responsabilities

Qualifications

Be puntual and responsible with the time of work

Work without supervision

Able to learn new techniques

Interpersonal interactions

The candidate will work some time alone and in groups

Physical demands

The nature of the job put heavy demands on the body

Able to lift 100 pounds regulary

Be on the knees for hours at the time

 

 

Work environment

The candidate will be expose to sharp objets (kives) diferents kinds of saws (table saw, miter saw etc).

The shop could be noise over 100 db

Work with ladders and scafolds with the risk of fall
