Position summary
The Gift Records Administrator processes all pledges and donations received by Andrews University and maintains the integrity of the donor financial records of the university.
Qualifications summary
The Gift Records Administrator handles all gifts coming to Andrews University and must be extremely detail oriented with the highest degree of accuracy. In addition, this administrator must perform at the highest level of customr service showing genuine care, interest, and professionalism in dealing with donors, alumni, faculty and staff.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
Gift processing tasks include receiving, recording, receipting, acknowledging, depositing funds, and maintaining critical gift accounting records. The unique skills that are required of the Gift Records Administrator help to ensure the integrity of the gift-related financial data of the university. The Gift Records Administrator reports to the Associate Vice President for Development.

Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Accounting and/or bookkeeping experience
- Data entry profiency
- Highest degree of accuracy
- Extremely detail oriented
- Ability to work with minimum supervision after initial training period
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality of output
- Proven skills in interpersonal communications and ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft XP Office Suite (Excel, Word, internet)
- Proficiency with complex Word merge procedures
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Knowledge and ability to work extensively with databases

Physical demands
Must be able to sit or stand for long stretches of time, working on a computer.
Work environment
The Gift Records Administrator works in the front office and is the first person someone meets when visiting the Office of Development. There is some noise from the copy room which is directly across the hall from the front office door. The office is quiet and a very pleasant place to work.
