ACADEMIC RECORDS - Student Assistant for Undergraduate Records

Position summary
The student assistant will provide clerical support and assistance with all office processes in the Undergraduate Records Office.
Qualifications summary
Good organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to multi-task, good written and verbal skills, good computer skills, dependability and confidentiality a MUST, ability to work summers, vacations, and breaks highly desired, ability to work a block of time during regular office hours (example 9-12 Monday-Friday)
Duties and responsibilities
Primary duties: dealing with telephone calls to Undergraduate Records, dealing with students and faculty, scanning, student folder organization and management, filing, assist with graduation processes, data entry, process petitions, process graduation applications, update CAPP information on undergradaute students, other duties as requested by the supervisor
Supervisory responsibilities
A graduate student is expected to help with supervision of undergraduate or academy students in the Undergraduate Records Office.
Qualifications
2013 Microsoft Office experience,math and computer skills, deductive reasoning, class schedule which meets office needs, length of stay- a minimum of 2 years, complete the office skills test at employment office ext. 3570
Technical competencies
Proficient use of Microsoft Office; Banner experience is preferred.
Interpersonal interactions
Must be comfortable interacting with students, faculty and staff on the telephone, via email or in person
Physical demands
Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time, must be able to carry up to 20 pounds as needed, stand or sit at scanner during work hours
Work environment
Desk area with computer in office cubicle; the office door opens to the lobby which can be very noisy
