NURSING - Admin Asst Nursing

  Hourly Full-time (35-40)

Position summary

Responsible for a smooth operation of the office of the Nursing Department while supporting the departmental chairperson and faculty on specific projects for both the undergraduate and the graduate programs.

Qualifications summary

A bachelor’s degree is preferred; however, office experience is required. Additional experience with recruitment or marketing of some type is desired.  Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other computer programs is required.


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Supervisory responsibilities

None required unless working with students.

Qualifications

Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze and interpret is required. Ability to write reports, engages in business correspondence, etc. is required.  Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various groups.
Mathematical Skills – Ability to calculate figures and amounts, etc.

Must be able to comfortably interact with students, faculty, and staff.

Physical demands

The employee is required to regularly use hands to finger, handle, etc. Sitting is frequent, standing is occasional, as is walking and reaching. Occasional lifting or moving up to 10 lbs. is required.

Work environment

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee would encounter while performing the functions of this job.  The noise level is usually moderate.
