Graduate student preferably from the fields of Counseling Psychology or Communications.
Duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide individual career coaching to students in all majors
- Coordinate and conduct practice interviews with students in all majors
- Supervise, train, and mentor volunteer student career coaches who provide assistance to the CTC in the areas of outreach presentations
- Design & present workshops to residence halls & student groups on various career related topics
- Assist with the planning, marketing and implementation of all Career development programming, including career fairs, resume clinics, and career workshops
- Conduct Resume (personal & on-line) reviews
- Maintain knowledge of Career software & resources
- Attend weekly staff meetings & supervision
- Maintain career webpage resources & Facebook announcements
- Other duties as assigned

- Training in a counseling or communication field with knowledge of career development theories

- Excellent organization, time management skills
Technical competencies
Maintain knowledge of Career software & resources, and maintain career webpage
Interpersonal interactions
Must be able to comfortably interact with students, engage students in presentations, assertively communicate with faculty and staff, and skillfully network with the campus at large
Physical demands
Must be able to comfortably carry presentation materials across campus
