Position summary
Constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment in establishment by performing the following duties. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Duties and responsibilities
- Performs general carpentry as assigned by foreman. Works with one or two students.
- Repairs, and installs counters, cabinets, benches, and partitions.
- Hangs doors, replaces windows, window screens, installs weather stripping, interior trim, and finish hardware.
- Repairs floors and floor tile, repairs steps, builds partitions, works with sheetrock and insulation.
- Performs general carpentry work.
- Installs suspended ceiling systems.
- Replaces damaged ceiling tile, and wall coverings.
- Repairs bock and brick masonry.
- Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete, pours and finishes concrete.
- Cleans and repairs gutters and downspouts and makes minor roofing repairs

Qualifications
Carpentry work of at least 6 months of hands-on experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Current USA or Canada Driver’s License. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
