SOCIAL WORK - Asst/Assoc/Full Professor-Social Work

Position summary

This full-time faculty position will teach graduate-level clinical practice courses, with particular expertise in advanced assessment/diagnosis, marriage and family therapy, evidence-based practices, and treatment of adult mental disorders.  Responsibilities include teaching BSW and MSW courses, conducting research, and providing academic advising and service to the department, University, and surrounding community.  Other responsibilities include recruiting students, participating on committees, conducting site visits at internship sites, and participating in student activities.

Qualifications summary

Requires a Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited program, a minimum of 5 years of post-MSW social work clinical practice experience, and a state clinical license (e.g. LCSW, LMSW, etc.). Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in advanced clinical classes and interest in research are highly desirable.


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Supervisory responsibilities

Directly supervises 1-2 graduate assistants. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
