Position summary
This part-time faculty position will serve as the Director of the DNP program. This individual will provide the administrative/management direction for this graduate program with a focus in FNP preparation with the DNP degree. In addition to administration/management oversight, the individual would also teach in the DNP program. On-site oversight is prefered but distant over-sight will be considered for this online program.
Qualifications summary
- DNP prepared
- FNP/NP certified
- FNP/NP experience
- Experience with online teaching preferred but can be provided.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide administrative/management of DNP program
- Teach courses in the DNP program
- Provide Academic advising for DNP students
- Provide advisement of scholarly projects for DNP students
- Continue to practice as an FNP
- Engage in scholarly activities
- Engage in recrutiment and marketing for the DNP program
- Be responsible for evaluation of DNP program related to program and learning outcomes
- Be responsible for attaining and maintaining accreditation of the DNP program with faculty assistance.
Supervisory responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
- DNP - Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree
- NP - Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- At least two years as DNP, preferred
- At least three years as NP preferred
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Technical competencies
- Ability to work with Moodle or other course management system
- Ability to teach online
- Has taken some online courses and understand how it works
- Familiarity with microsoft and other educational software programs.

- Must be able to respect colleagues and students
- Must be culturally aware, sensitive and competent in working with diverse students' population.
Physical demands
Physical demands of this job are in keeping with faculty position in any educational institution.
Some travel may be required to coordinate students' work towards the end of their program.

Work environment is safe, with reasonable noise level. Not applicable if distant over-sight is considered.
