\n Homecoming 2016 Gala Concert featuring Andrews Un iversity's Wind Symphony\, Chorale\, and Singers

\n The a nnual Gala Concert for the 2016 Homecoming Weekend features the Andrews Un iversity Wind Symphony under the direction of Alan Mitchell\, and the Andr ews University Singers and Chorale under the direction of Stephen Zork. Th e one hour and ten minute program will take place in the Howard Performing Arts Center beginning at 8:00 p.m. October 1\, 2016.

\n The music al entertainment from the wind and vocal areas will include a wide range o f moods from the festive to the reflective. Presentations from the Wind Sy mphony include Gavorkna Fanfare by Jack Stamp\, Concerto in B b for Two Trumpets by Antonio Vivaldi &ndash\; featuring trumpet solo ists Charles Steck &\; Jay Crouch\, Serenity by Ola Gjeilo\, a nd Fugue on Yankee Doodle by John Philip Sousa and arranged by Br ion Schissel.

\n The choral offerings will include When I Hear Music by Michael Martin\, America from West Side Story by L eonard Bernstein\, How Can I Keep From Singing arranged by Z. Ran dall Stroope\, and Africa &ndash\; the 1983 hit by TOTO arranged by Philip Lawson. The final number will be John Rutter&rsquo\;s arrangemen t of When the Saints Go Marching In &ndash\; featuring Alan Mitch ell on the trombone and clarinetist Gabe Halsey.
