Welcome Christmas: Choral Concert

The 2015 “Welcome Christmas Choral Concert” will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening December 4 in the Howard Performing Arts Center. “My Lord Has Come” is the theme of the evening’s music and narrative. “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi will be the primary work, performed by the Andrews University Chorale and Chamber orchestra conducted by Stephen Zork, with featured vocal soloists Jeannie Pedersen-Smith and Georgina Zambrano. The Choral Ensemble of Lake Michigan College will have a special presentation conducted by Bradley Krueger. The program centerpiece is “Magnificat” by Randall Z. Stroope presented by the Andrews University Singers. Additionally, the University Singers will wrap-up the musical offerings with a fresh garland of familiar carols including “I Saw Three Ships” by Dianne Loomer, “The Holly and the Ivy” by Matthew Owens, “My Lord Has Come” by Will Todd, “Dance and Sing” by Ryan Murphy, and “Patapan” by Troy Robertson. No admission charge. A free will offering will be collected.
