“For our annual Vespers Concert as part of the Andrews University Music Festival, we present a wide variety of inspirational sacred music for wind band. Headlining the program is John Steven’s "Benediction," an appropriate conclusion to a long week as we enter the Sabbath hours. Other pieces include gorgeous arrangements of "The King of Love My Shepherd Is" and "Amazing Grace," as well as sturdy early American hymns "Angel Band" and "Inventions from the Sacred Harp." Come be blessed and inspired by these moving pieces.”

Repertoire

  1. "An Almighty Fortress" (David Shaffer)
  2. "The King of Love My Shepherd Is" (Jess Langston Turner)
  3. "Angel Band" (William Hartley)
  4. "Perthshire Majesty" (Samuel Hazo)
  5. "St. Martin’s Suite" (Jan van der Roost)
