International Flags at Parade & Flag-Raising

Be a part of these beloved Andrews traditions

We invite YOU to be a part of TWO beloved Andrews traditions—the Alumni Homecoming Parade and International Flag-Raising Ceremony, which take place every year during Alumni Homecoming Weekend. Whether you are simply proud of your international roots, have studied abroad, served as a missionary outside the U.S. or are currently part of our international student body, we invite you to participate in both of these meaningful Alumni Homecoming events on Friday, September 27. You're welcome and encouraged to bring your friends and family to participate. You can carry your flag in the Alumni Parade, which will organize at 4:15 p.m. in the Andrews Academy parking lot, and the parade starts moving promptly at 4:50 p.m. 

The flag raising is IMMEDIATELY following, organizing on the International Flag Mall between the library and PMC at 6 p.m.—ceremony starts at 6:30 p.m. Please keep in mind that flag-bearers do not need to be natives of the specific country. Also, if you have international dress, you are invited to wear it for both occasions.
