On Sunday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m., Canadian Brass will perform at the Howard Performing Arts Center on the campus of Andrews University.

Originally created by Chuck Daellenbach and Gene Watts in 1970, Canadian Brass has an international reputation as one of the most popular brass ensembles today. They are known for their unique stage presence, entertaining performances, style, skill and dedication. The current Canadian Brass members are Chuck Daellenbach (tuba), Brandon Ridenour (trumpet), Caleb Hudson (trumpet), Achilles Liarmakopoulos (trombone) and Jeff Nelsen (horn).

During their four decades of performance, Canadian Brass has toured extensively in the United States and throughout the world including Canada, Japan, Australia, Europe, South America, the Middle East and China. They have a discography of over 130 albums and have sold more than two million albums worldwide. Canadian Brass has also made appearances on
numerous television programs including The Tonight Show and Entertainment Tonight.

The ensemble’s varied repertoire features brass standards as well as a wide-ranging library of original arrangements. Having started with a very limited base, Canadian Brass has created their own musical world by transcribing, arranging and commissioning more than 600 works. Their repertoire includes the works of Renaissance and Baroque masters, Classical works, marches, holiday favorites, ragtime, Dixieland, Latin, jazz, big band, Broadway and Christian music as well as popular songs and standards. Canadian Brass is especially noted for their famous holiday concerts at Christmas time.
