Paul Ashbourne Warsop
June 1, 1955–Dec. 7, 2021

There are few words to express the deep pain and sorrow of the loss of Paul Warsop. On Tuesday, Dec. 7, he passed away in his sleep from natural causes.

Beloved husband, dedicated father, precious grandpa (papa), faithful employee, talented chef, and dearest friend. Paul came to Andrews University Dining Services in 2014, where his vast culinary expertise, strong leadership, and unique sense of humor endeared him to students, faculty, staff and coworkers alike. He has been a pillar of the Terrace Café and will be deeply missed. Chef Paul’s famous macaroni and cheese will long remain on the menu as it is the unrivaled favorite.

Paul left behind his wife, Cheryl; his five children, Camille, Sherdal, Antonique, Sebastian (who continues as an Andrews University chef) and Dartanian; four adored grandchildren; the students he so lovingly attended; and his Dining Services team.

Services will take place this Saturday, Dec. 18, with the viewing at 2 p.m. and the funeral at 3 p.m. in Pioneer Memorial Church. For those unable to join in person, the funeral will be livestreamed at 3 p.m. at andrews.edu/livestream.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4

We celebrate Paul’s extraordinary life and anticipate a grand homecoming as we join in hearty embrace on the streets of gold in our long-awaited heavenly home!
