Wind Symphony to Perform Christmas Concert

Kick off your holiday season with festive music from the Andrews University Wind Symphony! Performing under the direction of Byron Graves, the Wind Symphony will present “On Holiday” at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Howard Performing Arts Center.

The program will be a musical tour to various holiday destinations, be that the Isle of Man (“Mannin Veen” by Haydn Wood), France or Cuba (excerpts from “Gershwin’s American in Paris” and “Cuban Overture”), Puerto Rico (“So Wondrous Bright” by Carol Chambers) or just the local fair (“The Purple Carnival March” by Harry Alford). The holiday whirlwind will continue into the Christmas season with favorites like “The Polar Express,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and many other familiar carols. You won’t want to miss it!

Tickets for this event can be purchased at howard.andrews.edu and are $7 for general seating and $5 for students and seniors.
