This hybrid event will take place in person on the campus of Andrews University as well as online virtually. The topic for this year, during this time in the pandemic, is “A New Opportunity: Youth and Young Adult Ministry Through COVID and Beyond.” Children’s ministry can also be included in this. Those interested in writing and presenting a paper are invited to send a one-page proposal that identifies what element or branch of the topic you propose to write and a brief overview of what your thoughts are before you do further study and writing. Send your proposal via email to <a href="mailto:Steve@involveyouth.org">Steve@involveyouth.org</a> by Thursday, March 31, 2022, in order for it to be approved for inclusion in this year’s symposium.  The length of the paper should target the 2,000–3,000 word range, which is 8–12 pages, double space, 12-point font in Times New Roman font. The completed paper should be sent to Steve Case (<a href="mailto:Steve@involveyouth.org">Steve@involveyouth.org</a>) no later than Friday, May 6, 2022, in order to be included in this year’s 180° Symposium. While papers will be shared the first day of the 180° Symposium, the second day will be spent in focus groups delving into the topic. The three different focus groups will be 1) Practitioners, 2) Administrators and 3) Academicians. The third day will include reports and recommendations. While writers are being invited, other interested people are also invited to participate as well. Tue, 08 Mar 2022 19:43:47 +0000 Lake Union Youth Evangelism Congress http://www.andrews.edu/agenda/59745 The Youth Evangelism Congress is an event unlike any other. In 2013, 2016, 2018, and 2020, hundreds of senior youth & young adults ages 16-35 in the Lake Union Conference gathered together with pastors, youth directors, ministerial directors, Conference presidents, and Union administrators to be empowered and resourced for evangelism back in their local churches and communities. As a result, we had young adult leaders using up to $116,000 dollars from a joint evangelism fund from LUC, local Conference & the local churches to launch new evangelism projects. Their goals were all the same: to bring the gospel to their local church community. On February 18–20, 2022, the Lake Union Conference will be having another Youth Evangelism Congress for those who want to become UNSTOPPABLE in the mission for God's glory and spread the gospel with God's power (Matthew 28:18–20). The Blue Gate Garden Inn will welcome us in Shipshewana, Indiana. Pastors, youth directors, ministerial directors, Conference presidents and Union administrators want to be part of this event to support you and listen to your ideas. We are stronger together! Thu, 03 Feb 2022 18:32:19 +0000 Young Adults Cruise With a Mission to Mexico http://www.andrews.edu/agenda/59746 <div color:="" font-size:=""> The 2021 Cruise With a Mission was such an amazing experience! We stopped in Cabo San Lucas at the orphanage and cleaned, painted and fixed walls, windows, fences, pillars and gates, then played with the 30+ kids. We ministered to Spanish-speaking patients in medical assistance programs so they could be treated. </div> <div color:="" font-size:=""> In Mazatlán we took over the church facility by removing tile from floors, scrubbing and resealing a roof, painting many exteriors walls, and repairing the wrought iron fence. The pastor was so grateful he prayed for God’s blessing on our health, ministry and finances. He asked God to abundantly bless us as we did his church. </div> <div color:="" font-size:=""> Lastly, in Puerto Vallarta we literally helped build a church. The dirt floors and open church space was merely four cement pillars with a metal roof. We helped paint/repair the walls, mix cement and carry it to the roof so they could have a proper covering, and finally painted the surrounding walls that protect and beautify the open sanctuary. </div> <div color:="" font-size:=""> Want to know more? Thu, 06 Feb 2020 14:30:02 +0000 CANCELLED: Easter Passion Play http://www.andrews.edu/agenda/55158 The annual Easter Passion Play is an interactive indoor and outdoor walk-through experience for the entire family, depicting the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Ticket reservations are free and can be made at <a href="http://passionplay.andrews.edu">passionplay.andrews.edu</a>. Rotations will run every 30 minutes, starting at 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Spanish rotations will be held at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Volunteers are also needed for several areas including actors, photographers, makeup and costume staff, etc. Wed, 15 Jan 2020 20:12:02 +0000 Children's Leadership Conference http://www.andrews.edu/agenda/54399 The 2019 Children's Leadership Conference is coming to Andrews University on October 12. Our theme this year is "Lead Me Home," and our goal is to empower leaders to equip parents with the tools needed to raise and train their children in their own home.
