The 1839 Courthouse is Michigan's oldest courthouse, and it sits on the oldest town square in the Midwest. If you have never toured the Old Courthouse complex, which is now a county museum and educational facility, there is a special tour at 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, April 18. You will be able to learn about these beautiful old buildings, how Emmanuel Missionary College used them and stories from 1901 about the early days of EMC.  Meet in front of the courthouse at 313 N Cass Street, Berrien Springs. The tour is free, as is entry into the museum complex. Donations to support the restoration of the Courthouse Square are welcome but not required to attend. Sat, Apr 18, 2026 07:30 pm -0400 Global Institute for Research Student Conference https://www.andrews.edu/agenda/69051 We are pleased to announce the first annual Global Institute for Research & Community Advancement Student Conference, which will showcase research from more than 120 students representing 12 institutions of higher education. Andrews students will be sharing their research along with students from universities and colleges in East, Central, and West Africa and the Philipines under the theme "From Research to Mission: Solutions that Make a Difference." Conference sessions will be held from 7–10 a.m. EST, from Sunday, April 19, through Tuesday, April 21, 2026. We are honored to welcome our plenary presenters, Colin Bruce and David Trim. Bruce serves as special envoy for humanitarian and development affairs at the International Committee of the Red Cross. Prior to this role, he spent 30 years at the World Bank, serving in senior technical and managerial positions, including director for strategy and operations in the Africa region and senior adviser in the Office of the President. Trim is the director of Archives, Statistics, and Research at the world headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Participants will benefit from a multidisciplinary, international conference featuring undergraduate and graduate student research. Sessions will provide opportunities to engage with presenters, ask questions and participate in discipline-specific conference rooms.
