Tue, 08 Aug 2017 10:02:20 +0000 Flag Mall Graduation Weekend http://www.andrews.edu/agenda/46657 International flags are flying this weekend to honor the summer graduates of 2017. There are 50 countries represented in this graduating class. The row of flags closest to the church displays the flags of Great Britain and Canada for our new President, Andrea Luxton, who is a native of Great Britain and holds a Canadian passport. Flying next to it is the flag of Grenada for our Provost, Christon Arthur, and the flag of Switzerland to commemorate J.N. Andrews’ historic mission trip. A beloved symbol of global diversity at Andrews, the International Flag Mall was installed in 1974. The flags are flown five times a year: Spring and summer graduations, Alumni Homecoming Weekend, University Convocation at the beginning of each school year and International Student Week. Thu, 27 Jul 2017 13:33:46 +0000 Campus Signage Policy http://www.andrews.edu/agenda/45795 This is a reminder for those who know, and an FYI for those who may be newer to Andrews. Thank you for complying with this voted policy. As part of the planning for the University entrance, the Arboretum Council and the Facilities Management Committee voted temporary signage would be prohibited at the University entrance and along J.N. Andrews Boulevard. This policy was deemed reasonable because of the increased visibility of the official entrance to the University and the way-finding signs installed throughout campus. Signs placed at the entrance or along J.N. Andrews Boulevard will be removed and can be picked up at Integrated Marketing & Communication in Griggs Hall A. Signage left at IMC for 30 days will be disposed of. Banners may be placed at the terminus of J.N. Andrews Boulevard on the poles provided. Reservations/arrangements to install and store banners can be made with Plant Services. Wed, 18 Jan 2017 11:22:39 +0000 AU History Exhibit & Lectures at Courthouse Square http://www.andrews.edu/agenda/44506 <div class="page" title="Page 2"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> Please stop by the 1839 Courthouse Museum in Berrien Springs to see the new exhibit, “Wisdom Seekers: Andrews University from Battle Creek to Boxcars to Berrien Springs.” Andrews University and its forerunners, Battle Creek College and Emmanuel Missionary College, have been a key part of Berrien County’s history for over a century, and the exhibit tells a part of its story. Board member for the BCHA, Rebecca May, who is also the Campus & Community Relations Director for Andrews University, helped plan the exhibit and arranged loans of artifacts from the University's Center for Adventist Research.   The 2017 Winter Program Series is themed around the Wisdom Seekers exhibit and is comprised of three interactive lectures telling different aspects of the university’s history.
