Shin is the speaker at the Eau Claire Seventh-day Adventist Church this Saturday. Pastor Shin continues his series on "Questions Jesus Asked." His sermon is titled "Do You Also Want to Go Away?" The sermon is based on Jesus' question to His disciples in John 6. Faith is not merely following Jesus when His words are easy to accept; true discipleship means staying with Jesus even when we do not understand His ways. The Eau Claire Church will be celebrating Communion this Sabbath. The church service begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by Sabbath School at 11 a.m. A fellowship meal follows the service. Drawing on biblical exegesis and ancient Christian reception history, he argues that historicism’s integration of past, present and future offers a framework for understanding Revelation’s prophetic imagery.</p> <p> The evening will offer an opportunity to meet the author, hear about the research behind the book and celebrate its publication. The program will include a welcome and introduction, author presentation, moderated conversation, audience Q&A and closing remarks.
