One important service is dyslexia intervention. “One in five students in the U.S. are affected by dyslexia,” says Susan Barton, dyslexia and ADHD expert. Testing services offered by the UCRLA include: <ul> <li style="margin-left: 1in;"> Full psycho-educational assessments</li> <li style="margin-left: 1in;"> Educational assessments</li> <li style="margin-left: 1in;"> Cognitive assessments</li> <li style="margin-left: 1in;"> ADHD assessments</li> <li style="margin-left: 1in;"> Dyslexia or reading disability assessments</li> </ul> “Summer is the best time to enhance student learning,” says Annabelle Lopez, consultant for the UCRLA. “It’s a great opportunity to give your child a boost for the coming school year.” In addition to testing services, the UCRLA offers interventions for memory, cognitive and language processing issues.
