Student Spotlight

I was fortunate to have been accepted into the Masters of Landscape Architecture at the University of Michigan after I graduated from Andrews University with a BS in Sustainable Horticulture (emphasis in Environmental Landscape Design).  At Andrews University I found a community who carries a passion for our natural environment.  Without this community, and the faculty which unify it, my graduate school opportunities would have been nonexistent.  The Department of Sustainable Agriculture enabled me to better understand the trajectory of my own aspirations and tailored my undergraduate experience to confidently compete in the professional realm.  I couldn’t have reached this point without the help of my professors in the Department.  They ensured that their students are well-equipped to be environmental stewards.

"The Horticulture program at Andrews University provides me with opportunities to learn in the classroom as well as have hands-on experience in production horticulture that I would not have had elsewhere.
