REBECCA COLEMAN

Youth Development & Sustainable Development

Why I Chose CIDP:
I chose CIDP because I grew up overseas. I was raised in West Africa and I have seen firsthand how much under-developed countries need help. I am passionate about helping the less fortunate and I have a keen interest in youth and education. This field of study is equipping me to use my skills to help others.
Experience:
I have had one year of experience teaching english as a second language at a school in Guinea, Africa. During my time there I also started a mentoring program for the young girls of the community, empowering them and encouraging them to pursue their dreams by first getting an education.
Career Goals:
I would like to work in Africa, preferably dealing with girls’ education.
