Denise Shaver provides leadership and support for instructional design of online or blended courses. She provides online teaching training and support for faculty; creates support documents and resources; reviews the implementation of technology in online courses; researches and implements emerging and research supported online pedagogies; and supervises Instructional Facilitators in supporting online course design.Prior to her current position(s)in the School of Distance Education she was the Assessment Coordinator for the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, a position that she held from 2012-2014. In 2014 she completed her PhD in Curriculum & Instruction from the School of Education at Andrews University. She also possess an Educational Specialist and Master of Arts in Teaching degree from the same institution. Her teaching career in post-secondary institutions began in 1997.
