Natural Remedies and Hydrotherapy

This year’s Natural Remedies and Hydrotherapy Workshop is scheduled for August 5-August 10 and is sponsored by the Andrews University Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary. The focus will be on the skillful use of natural remedies, water and nutrition in times of illness and health. The workshop is limited to 60 participants so early registration is encouraged. Registration closes July 25.

A number of health and wellness professionals will be presenting: Winston Craig, PhD, RD, Andrews University; Don Miller, ND, Uchee Pines Institute; David DeRose, MD, Weimar Center for Health & Education; Vicki Griffin, Michigan Conference Health Department; David Village, MSPT, Andrews University; and Gerard Damsteegt, workshop director, MPH, RD, Andrews University.

This five day workshop involves 30 hours of lectures and demonstrations along with hands-on labs. All participants who successfully complete the workshop will receive a certificate of achievement. Graduate credit (1-4credit hours) is available for MA, MDiv, MAPMin students.

The lectures and labs will include topics such as how to treat the common cold or fever; charcoal therapy; use of garlic and other medicinal herbs; treating sprains and strains; hydrotherapy and the immune system; and much more.

Pastors and their spouses, health professionals and anyone who is interested in natural remedies or hydrotherapy is invited to attend this popular workshop. The workshop fee is $350. Repeat attendees and spouses are entitled to a 50 percent workshop fee discount (labs only if not full).
