Pre-service Teachers and Cooperative Learning:
Cooperative learning has proven to be an effective teaching strategy for all ages. Though teacher education programs generally include this form of instruction in their methods curriculum, research suggests that pre-service teachers do not transfer this knowledge to the classroom after they begin working. Research further alludes to the fact that pre-service teachers need multiple exposure and practice in this strategy in order to competently use it in the field. This presentation will discuss research findings from a two-day cooperative learning seminar, and conclusions about future use of coop-erative learning
