Don Livesay accepted the invitation to become the Lake Union Conference president on December 2, 2008.

 

Don has served in the Georgia-Cumberland, Northern California and Oregon Conferences with duties that have included: pastoral leadership in four churches, campus chaplain, conference departmental director of youth ministries, assistant to the president for communication, health/temperance and stewardship. Don served as the Oregon Conference vice president for administration for four years and then as president for seven years before accepting the invitation to join the Lake Union Conference.

 

Beginning his pastoral ministry in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1973, Don then attended the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary on the campus of Andrews University, and completed his M.Div. in 1976.
