Organizational Management—MSA

The MSA in Organizational Management blends business and church management courses to provide professional training for students seeking management roles in church or other not-for-profit organizations.

The business component of the program focuses on organizational theory, not-for-profit management principles, marketing concepts, and ethical issues pertinent to organizational management. The church management component focuses on cultural issues, communication skills, and church leadership, growth, and policy development.

33 credits—can typically be completed for a full time student in 1 full year

APPLICATION DEADLINES

Prospective students must submit their applications by the dates listed below.

  • Fall (August–December): July 15
  • Spring (January–May): November 15
  • Summer Session 1 (May–June): April 1
  • Summer Session 2 (June–July): May 1
  • Summer Session 3 (July–August): June 1

POINTS OF DISTINCTION

  • Graduates are well prepared for leadership in various industry-specific settings.
  • The program offers small classes with one-on-one attention from professors.
  • May be pursued as a combination of on campus and online courses.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelors degree (or non-U.S equivalent) from an accredited institution and a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.60 (Applicants with lower GPA may be admitted upon consideration of the composite profile).
  • Two recommendations from professionals such as advisors, major professors, and employers.
  • Resume describing employment, research or special projects.
  • GRE general or GMAT tests: Exam taken within five years. 
  • Statement of Purpose reflecting your philosophical perspective, personal, professional, and academic goals, and reasons for seeking the graduate program.
  • TOEFL, IELTS or PTE (academic): Students whose language of education is not English must submit English proficiency tests scores.
