Public Health—MPH

Public Health is research in action. The Science of Prevention. The Master of Public Health (MPH) will prepare highly competent public health professionals with the knowledge and training to prevent disease and restore health in local, national and global communities.

PROGRAM LENGTH

This 42-credit program can typically be completed by part-time students in 2½ years and by full-time students within 18 months. Students should also complete the following courses as co-requisites:

  • Biology or Physiology or Anatomy and Physiology.
  • Two courses in nutrition.

APPLICATION DEADLINES

The Master of Public Health program only admits new students for Fall Semester. Prospective students must complete the application and submit all the requirements before July 15.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelors degree (or non-U.S. equivalent) from an accredited institution and a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (applicants with lower GPA may be admitted upon consideration of the composite profile).
  • Three Recommendations from professionals such as advisors, major professors and employers.
  • Resume providing a complete overview of employment, research or special projects.
  • Statement of Purpose reflecting your philosophical perspective, personal, professional and academic goals, and reasons for seeking the graduate program.
  • TOEFL, IELTS or PTE (academic): Students whose language of education is not English must submit English proficiency test scores.
