So you’ve heard about the new Howard Performing Arts Center and the world-class vocal and instrumental ensembles at Andrews. But that accounts for only part of the music culture at Andrews University. For starters, Andrews is a regular stop on the concert tours of top Christian artists like Nicole Nordeman and Jars of Clay. And the music scene is alive and well within the student body itself. You’ll find a host of independent bands and recording artists walking around campus. You’ll sit in class beside guitarists who spent last summer touring Europe with the praise band they started their freshman year, or singers who opened for Third Day at a show in South Bend. Music is all around Andrews, encompassing a full range of musical styles— from contemporary Christian to bossa nova, from classic jazz to gospel. New groups start up every year, so don’t miss your chance to get involved!
