Education

Dean Lashley graduated from Andrews University with a BA in Spanish, a minor in English and secondary education certification. She also completed her Master of Arts in higher education administration.

Biography

Dean Lashley was born in Mandeville, Jamaica, to parents Sylvan and Rosita Lashley. After a short while there, she moved to Maracus, Trinidad, where she spent a good portion of her childhood. Next, she moved to South Lancaster/Leominster, Massachusetts, where she went to high school at South Lancaster Academy. After high school, she attended Andrews University. While there, she was able to pursue her goal of becoming an educator. After college, she volunteered at a high school in Brooklyn, New York, then moved to Blue Mountain Academy where she was the girls’ dean, Spanish, and lifeskills teacher. After a few years, she accepted the offer to return to Andrews University. Her hobbies include ministry, playing and watching basketball, reading, listening to music, watching Netflix and baking.
