Dean Paddock graduated from Southern Adventist University with a BA in English, and minors in Religion and Photography. She is currently deciding on her Master’s degree.
Dean Paddock was born in Asheville, North Carolina to parents, Don and JP Mathis. She spent a small portion of her childhood in Collegedale, Tennessee where Don and JP worked at Southern College. The larger portion of her childhood was spent in Portland, Tennessee where Don and JP worked at Highland Academy. Dean Paddock attended Highland Academy graduating in 2004. After high school, she attended Southern Adventist University where she pursued her goal of becoming an educator. After college, she moved to Blue Mountain Academy in Hamburg, Pennsylvania where she taught English, Spanish, Photography, and was the assistant gymnastics coach. In 2014, she married Eric Paddock and joined him in working at Andrews University. Dean Paddock enjoys photography, acrosports, languages, playing sports, podcasts, cooking, and spending time with family.
