Spencer Carter is a graduate of Andrews University with a BS in Communication in 1978 and a Masters in Social Work in 1981.
Spencer was born in the beautiful island of Barbados on November 6th, 1954. When Spencer was eight years old he moved with his family to New York City, where he attended public school and then Northeastern Academy, graduating in 1973.
Spencer has worked in the field of Social Work for over 20 years. He has worked at Andrews University since 1993, first as an Assistant Dean, and in 2003 as Dean of Men. Spencer is a family man, being married to his wife Nancy for 35 years. They have two adult sons, Michael and Elliott, and one granddaughter, Avery. The passion of his life is to encourage others to rise above their circumstances.
