Graduation is a well-deserved honor. Over two weekends each year, once in spring and once in late summer, we celebrate our students' grand finale.
For graduates and their guests, information about graduation—including regalia, schedules and DVD orders—is available at our Graduation Web page. Students may also want to contact their academic department to see if additional celebrations are planned.
Candidates for graduation must follow a process to ensure they have fulfilled graduation requirements, including completion of all applications and final clearances. The necessary steps are outlined in the Andrews University Bulletin as well as by the Office of Academic Records.
Graduation tickets are distributed by random draw through the Office of Student Financial Services to graduating students whose friends and family will attend the Sunday Commencement ceremony. Tickets are not required for Friday evening and Sabbath morning ceremonies.
Students must be financially cleared in order to receive their graduation tickets. Click here for more information regarding ticket pick-up and extra tickets.
Graduation is a fun but formal event recognizing years of accomplishment. Graduates and their guests are asked to respect the procedures and traditions of the Andrews University graduation ceremony. Professional photographs are taken of each graduate at the moment of diploma exchange between the graduate and the University president. No informal photography takes place on stage or in the front of the sanctuary.
