Each fall, the Andrews University School of Business Administration hosts a career fair in the lobby of Chan Shun Hall, the business building. Over a dozen employers connect with qualified business students who are seeking internships or entry-level employment opportunities. Participating employers have included Adventist Development & Relief Agency, Adventist Health System, Adventist Risk Management, Ameriprise Financial, Chemical Bank, Crowe Horwath LLP, General Conference Auditing Service, Honor Credit Union, Horizon Bank, Kettering Health Network and Robert Half International, among others. Students are given the opportunity to discuss career options and job market trends with these employer representatives. Student resumes are compiled in a resume booklet which is distributed to employers.
During the days surrounding the career fair, several participating employers conduct on-campus interviews with our students, allowing these students to have face-to-face interviews much sooner than usual in the hiring process.
Each February, our business students have the option of signing up for the annual Job Pursuit career fair hosted in Lansing, Michigan. Andrews University provides transportation for this job fair, which includes over 50 employers from a variety of industries and offers 20-minute interviews of selected candidates in the afternoon.
Andrews University is also a member of Michigan Colleges Alliance (MCA), a collective of independent colleges and universities located throughout Michigan. MCA strives to link students with internship and employment opportunities with leading Michigan organizations. MCA has provided Andrews University business students with a number of great opportunities to apply for such as interview days with Stryker, Gordon Food Services and Whirlpool Corporation, or internship openings at companies across Michigan.
A list of current career openings will soon be available.
