Biography

 Dr. Jeannie Montagano is an associate professor in the Department of Graduate Psychology and Counseling. She serves as advisor and school psychology program coordinator. Dr. Montagano’s research interests include autism and math anxiety in children.

Prior to joining the faculty at Andrews, Dr. Montagano worked as a school psychologist in both the public and private sectors. In her role as a school psychologist, she mentored/supervised school psychologist interns, administered psycho-educational batteries to determine special education eligibility, consulted weekly with school staff at a psychiatric facility, determined eligibility for special education services, and designed and implemented  positive behavior intervention plans.

Dr. Montagano has two sons, lawyers, who are ‘coasters’, one in New York City and one in Los Angeles. Her interests include any sports, including soccer, tennis, and baseball that her 7-year old grandson plays and, of course, coastal travel!
