Biography

Dr. Jeannie Montagano is an Associate Professor in the Department of Graduate Psychology and Counseling specializing in teaching courses pertaining to psychological testing, school consultation and psycho-educational report writing. She also focuses on researching, writing and presenting on the nature and effects of mathematics anxiety in children. 

Prior to joining the faculty at Andrews, Dr. Jeannie Montagano was a school psychologist in both the public and private sectors.  In her role as a school psychologist, she mentored/supervised school psychologist interns, administered psycho-educational batteries to determine special education eligibility, consulted weekly with school staff at a psychiatric facility, determined eligibility for special education services, designed Individualized Education Plans, implemented interventions, and designed positive behavior intervention plans.

Dr. Montagano has two sons, both in the law/politics field who are married to two fabulous women, and one beautiful grandson, Joey Maxwell. Dr. Montagano’s interests include family and travel.
