Biography

Originally from Loma Linda University, Dr. Wayne Perry joined the Andrews University faculty in 1994 as the MSPT Program Director and in 2002 became the Department Chair and the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Director. He remained in this position until his retirement in 2013. In 2012 Dr. Perry received the University's John Nevins Andrews Medallion for his outstanding contributions to the University. Dr. Perry now serves as Professor Emeritus of Physical Therapy.

Born in Albany, New York, Dr. Perry graduated from Loma Linda University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1985 and his Master's in Business Administration from California State University in 1992.  He received a PhD in Educational Administration from Andrews University in 2000. The title of his dissertation is: "The Role of the Academic Physical Therapy Department Chair."

Dr. Perry also served as a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Higher Education Council of the Michigan Center for Health Professions, and the Michigan Physical Therapy Association Academic Administrators Committee. His research interests include Physical Therapy education and administration.
